Machines We Use to Cut Different Materials at Breakwater Metaland

At Breakwater Metaland, we use a range of specialised machines to cut steel accurately and efficiently. Our Brobo cold saw, bandsaw, cropper, and guillotine allow us to process a wide variety of materials for fabrication, trade customers, and custom jobs.

Brobo Cold Saw

Our Brobo cold saw is used for precision cutting of materials such as:

  • RHS and SHS
  • Round tube and pipe
  • Solid round bar
  • Flat bar
  • Aluminium sections
  • Angle

The cold saw produces clean, square cuts with minimal burr, making it ideal for accurate fabrication and repeat work.

Bandsaw

Our bandsaw is used for larger and heavier steel sections, including:

  • Large RHS and SHS
  • Structural beams and channels
  • Angle
  • Thick solid bar and heavy wall pipe

This machine allows us to cut thicker materials with excellent control.

Cropper

The cropper uses hydraulic force to shear and punch steel quickly. It’s commonly used for:

  • Cutting flat bar
  • Cropping angle
  • Shearing smaller plate
  • Punching holes in steel

It’s ideal for fast preparation work before fabrication or welding.

Guillotine

Our guillotine is used to cut sheet metal and plate with straight, clean edges. It’s perfect for:

  • Cutting sheet metal
  • Plate cutting
  • Preparing flat steel blanks
  • Producing accurate straight cuts before forming or welding

Equipped for Efficient Steel Processing

With these machines in house, Breakwater Metaland can choose the right cutting method for each job, ensuring accurate results, faster turnaround times, and high quality fabrication ready materials.
